A tiny café with a huge following, fans of Latin food head here for authentic plates of spicy dips and sweet plantains. Tiny tables are happily shoved aside to make room for live music, while food is patiently-explained to newcomers of Venezuelan and Colombian cuisine. All Plates are accompanied by thick cakes of smashed plantains, fried crisp and topped with spicy avocado dip. Plates of parrilla (grilled steak or chicken) present charred exteriors and tender insides that are served with plenty of flavorful rice and black beans.
